2 Weeks Before Moving

• Make final packing decisions. Clear and clean you home including closets, basement and attic.
• Call your bank and inquire about transferring your bank accounts.
• Do not forget to clear out your safety deposit box.
• Plan meals that will use up the food in your refrigerator and freezer.
• Properly dispose of flammable or hazardous materials such as fireworks, cleaning fluid, acids, aerosol cans, paint, and car batteries. For more information on proper disposal contact your cities public works or sanitation department.
• Drain all the oil and gasoline from your lawn mower and power tools.
• Transfer all current drug prescriptions to a pharmacy in your new town.
• Make arrangements for transporting your pets.
• If you are planning on traveling by car, have your car serviced.
